On The Cover Review: 2011 Mini Paceman Concept
For 2011, Mini introduced the supersized (for Mini) Countryman four-door sedan. This was somewhat of a departure from the usual two-door micro-compacts that the company is known for. And now, the Paceman Concept gives us an idea what the new, larger Countryman would look like if it was fitted with the familiar two-door configuration. Groundbreaking? Nah. It essentially takes a car that deviates from Minis core values to provide more space and practicality, and eliminates a big chunk of the practicality. The Paceman is all-wheel-drive, and presented in a largely masculine configuration, with big chunky wheels and an au-natural mossy green paintjob. The Paceman is motivated by a turbocharged version of Mini’s 1.6-liter four, cranking out 211 horsepower. And what’s the deal with jumbo shrimp?
